I just added Noel & James’ beautiful backyard wedding to the gallery, but wanted to blog them too! This was one of the weddings that was chosen to be featured in an article about my work that ran in Professional Photographer magazine.
Portland wedding planner Marilyn Storch coordinated this amazing wedding! They scoured thrift stores for months finding vintage plates for the reception. Each plate was unique and the result was a colorful, ecletic table. They also found vintage brooches which they used to adorn the bride and bridesmaids bouquets.
They had croquet set up on the lawn during the reception which I think was more fun for the adults than the kids! There was a snow cone machine set up for the kids though, which was a great idea since it turned out to be 100 degrees that day. They served two different signature cocktails in mason jars, which kept the guest happy and hydrated.
As the sun set, they lit a fire and turned on the cafe lights. I love doing end of the night shots because they have such ambience. Here are some of my favorites from the wedding day…
