We were SO excited to be part of the first Race for the Rescues event held in Portland! It was held on Sunday, September 28th and benefitted five local rescue organizations, including our own greyhound rescue group, Greyhound Pet Adoption NW. The event included a 5K, 10K, 1K dog walk, 1K Kids Fun Run and a Couch Potato Race.
We manned the “Photos with Fido” booth, and had our own booth next to it. Silas Weir Mitchell (Monroe) and Claire Coffee (Adalind) from Portland’s own Grimm were there greeting participants and MC’ed the awards. It got a little windy and we lost some of our prints, but had a great time. A HUGE thank you to my mom, for spending the weekend and helping me out!
